Extra battles (some’ll be optionals, tough but rewarding), Hoenn Pokemon (in every area, and hard to find) New areas, Remapped some dungeons (so your old guides wont work) , Extra recurring characters (some’ll hate you, some’ll help you)

However, that is still much less frustrating. I recommend the Fall 2X patch, as it is closer to the original Atari XL/XE fall height. Alternatively these Game Genie codes can be used: ZPIAEX is 2X, NYIAEX maxes it out to 255 (not included), and AIIAOZ is don't die at any height. Thanks Cpt Rufus for the suggestion.
